Who This Program Is For

You do not need a tech background.
You need the drive to show up.

NuTech Academy's program was built for people who are starting from scratch or switching careers. If you are willing to commit to 4–5 sessions per week and do the work in between, this program will meet you where you are.

🔄

Career Changers

You are working in a non-tech field and ready to transition into a high-paying cloud engineering career. You want a clear path with real outcomes. You are ready to put in the work to get there.

🌐

Diverse Learners

Our student community comes from all backgrounds. Our instructors teach in clear, plain language and the community is welcoming. Tech vocabulary is taught — not assumed.

🖥️

Complete Beginners

Never opened a terminal. Never written a line of code. That is fine — we start with what a computer actually is. The program is designed so that zero experience is a valid starting point.

👨‍👩‍👧

Busy Adults with Families

The program is intensive and requires full commitment. Session recordings are available for review after each class, allowing students to revisit complex topics at their own pace.

🎓

Bootcamp Grads Who Need More

Finished another program but still struggling to pass interviews? NuTech graduates consistently credit the hands-on labs and mock interview practice as what finally got them hired.

📈

IT Professionals Leveling Up

Already in help desk or system admin? This program will take your existing foundation and build AWS, DevOps, AI tools, and Observability on top of it — moving you toward senior-level roles.

This program is probably not the right fit if you are:

  • Looking for a self-paced course with no live instruction or accountability
  • Not able to commit to 4–5 sessions per week for 8 months
  • Looking for a senior-level course — this program builds from the ground up
  • Only looking for one specific certification with no broader career goals

Curriculum

What you will learn
across 8 months.

The curriculum is broken into focused phases. Each phase builds on the last. Click any phase to see what is covered.

Phase 0 Onboarding & Pre-Program Preparation Pre-Enrollment

Before your official start date, you will complete a structured set of onboarding materials and tasks. This phase ensures every student enters Phase 1 with the same baseline readiness — so no one starts behind. Completion of Phase 0 is required prior to official enrollment.

Phase 1 Linux & Systems Fundamentals Foundation

Everything starts here. You will learn how computers work, what Linux is, and how to navigate and control a server using the command line. Designed for complete beginners — covers the foundational skills every cloud and DevOps engineer uses every single day.

Phase 2 AWS Architecture & Core Services Cloud Foundation

You will build, deploy, and scale real infrastructure on AWS. Covers the core services that appear in every cloud job posting and prepares you for both AWS certification exams.

AWS Cloud Practitioner Prep AWS Solutions Architect Prep
Phase 3 Infrastructure as Code Automation · AI-Assisted

Automate cloud infrastructure using code — and use AI tools to write, review, and deploy that code faster. Covers both the concepts and the tools used in production engineering teams today.

AI-Assisted Workflows Terraform Associate Prep
Phase 4 CI/CD Pipelines DevOps Automation · AI-Assisted

Build fully automated pipelines that take code from commit to production deployment — with zero manual steps. AI tools are integrated throughout to accelerate writing, testing, and debugging at every stage.

AI-Assisted Workflows
Phase 5 Containerization & Kubernetes CKA & CKAD Preparation

Package applications in containers and orchestrate them at scale using Kubernetes — the technology powering most of the internet's production workloads. Full preparation for two of the most respected certifications in cloud engineering.

CKA Exam Preparation CKAD Exam Preparation
Phase 6 Cloud Security & Compliance Cloud Security

Security is embedded in everything a DevOps engineer does. You will learn to build secure cloud environments that meet enterprise compliance requirements and defend against real-world threats.

Phase 7 Monitoring, Logging & Observability Observability · AI-Assisted

Know what is happening inside your systems at all times. Build dashboards, configure alerts, trace requests across distributed services, and use AI tools to analyze logs and triage incidents faster.

AI-Assisted Log Analysis
Phase 8 Capstone Project & Career Launch Portfolio · Interview Prep · Job Search

Your final phase ties everything together. Design and deploy a full production-grade cloud environment — your portfolio centerpiece for any job interview. Career support runs alongside: resume preparation, LinkedIn optimization, mock technical interviews, and job search strategy.

Certifications

5 credentials you will be
prepared to earn.

Each certification is woven into the relevant phase of the curriculum — not crammed in at the end. AWS-certified engineers earn 20–30% more than non-certified peers.

FAQ

Questions about
the program.

No. The program starts with computer fundamentals and Linux from scratch. Students who have graduated with us came from retail, food service, rideshare, insurance, stay-at-home parenthood, and dozens of other non-tech backgrounds. The only requirement is commitment.
This is a rigorous, full-time program. Students should expect to dedicate 4–5 live sessions per week plus significant time for labs, assignments, and independent study between sessions. We strongly advise students to treat enrollment as their primary commitment. Some students have managed part-time work alongside the program, but this requires careful planning and a strong support structure. The volume of material covered in 8 months demands consistent, focused effort.
Every session is recorded and available after class. Because the program is intensive and cumulative, attending live is strongly encouraged. Recordings are provided for review and reinforcement — not as a substitute for attendance. If you are falling behind, contact your instructor early so we can provide support before it compounds.
Live sessions are conducted online via video conferencing. Course materials, recordings, labs, and assignments are accessible through the student platform. Details are provided at enrollment.
Yes — if you complete the program and engage with the career support. 95% of NuTech graduates land a cloud or DevOps role within 6 months of completing. You will graduate with a portfolio of deployed projects, up to 5 industry certifications, and a prepared resume and LinkedIn profile. Our career support does not stop at graduation — we stay with you until you are hired.
Yes. Everything is online. NuTech Academy is headquartered in Lindenhurst and Aurora, IL, but students join from across Chicagoland, the Midwest, and nationwide. You can attend from anywhere with a reliable internet connection.
Cohort schedules and start dates are announced before each enrollment opens. Submit an inquiry through the contact page or call (847) 738-7963 and an admissions advisor will give you the current cohort details.

The cloud skills shortage
is your opportunity.

94% of companies use cloud. 90%+ can't find qualified engineers. NuTech graduates are filling that gap — and building careers paying $130K–$183K.
